So, the 944 I was looking at has already sold. Here's the listing: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! The maintenance history was a huge selling point to me. It's going to be a while before I can find a seemingly-trustworthy one like that again.
So in the meantime, with a maximum budget of $4500, what would you recommend for me? Preferably nothing Japanese. I like classics, RWD sports cars, and other interesting cars. I already have a reliable daily driver, so it doesn't have to be entirely practical (which is why I was considering 944s). So, suggestions?

I'll sell you my 944.
But it's in San Diego.
And it's a race car.
And the motor is currently in pieces.
Other than that... great car.

Yeah... that's not exactly what I need. lol
But good luck with that.

Also (at least with the engine back in) would be a bit out of your price range. Shockingly, one of the few cars I've had where a race example is worth 2-3x more than a standard one.
Really though, it's too bad you're not closer. I work with a shop out here that only does 924/944/968s. They get them for sale all the time.

Keep holding out for a 944. You will be disappointed with anything less.

There is that one little jap car that is kinda relevant

How about an Audi Qu(THUNK).
Agrajag is struck in the head and rendered unconscious. The culprit lays him at the apex of blind corner on a fast road. He waits patiently in a decorative shrubbery near the road for the next car to come along and strike the motionless body. Off in the distance, but ever nearer he hears the distinctive thrum of an approaching car, only for it to be a Quattro equipped Audi with which it uses its exceptional road holding abilities to deftly avoid Agrajag. Angered the culprit hops into the road shaking his fist angrily in the air only to be hit by another Audi driver texting.

But in all seriousness, are you opposed to domestics? How about 94-96 Impala SS that price range will get you a really good undonked one.

I think you missed the part where my max budget is $4500, lol. Also 928s are scary.

I'm not opposed to domestics at all. But I don't want an Impala SS. That would be my choice if I wanted a semi-practical awesome car, but I've already got a practical, so I'd rather go with something 2-door, manual, RWD or AWD, etc.

This is a technicality, but the top car is a 924 :P

80,000 miles and you dragged your feet?
You didn't deserve it.

Whoa now. No, I didn't drag my feet. I found the listing 2 days ago and needed to sell my Audi first. Today I got two potential buyers for the Audi, and received a response email from the Porsche owner saying that it had sold. The listing is still active, so I wouldn't have known.
But thanks for the assumption.

There's been quite a few 944s for sale in this area lately. I'm sure another will pop up.
Or you can buy my Camry.
